Los Angeles, California- February 26, 2014 – Little Big Shot, a competitive basketball shootout tournament, will host fund raising events to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters in five U.S. cities in early 2014. The tournament will take place in Los Angeles on April 6th at Lafayette Multipurpose Community Center (625 S. Lafayette Park Place, Los Angeles).
Jack in the Box restaurants and the Los Angeles Lakers will host the tournament’s kick-off during the Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings game on Friday, February 28th at 7:30 PM. During half-time “Bigs” and “Littles” will be participating in a three-point shot tournament demonstration. Big Brothers Big Sisters will staff a booth at the game and will have tournament registration information available. Participants can also sign up for the tournament beginning February 28th at www.littlebigshottexas.com.
The Los Angeles tournament is part of Little Big Shot’s goal to bring the fund raising tournaments to cities across the country. “Little Big Shot offers our Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies a great community event aimed at raising program funds and awareness of our mission of providing mentors for children facing adversity,” said Charles Pierson, President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
